COMPETITION
OVERVIEW
What is the competition?
The New Zealand Secondary School Photography Competition (NZSSPC) is a project created by youth, intended to serve as a platform where passionate secondary school photographers can promote their photos, as well as partaking in a friendly competition with like-minded students.
The theme for this year’s competition is Peace. Photographers should feel free to interpret and illustrate this theme conceptually or realistically.
The concept of peace will be split into three categories, highlighting people, nature & still life. Students will compete with other students from across the country, and are eligible to submit up to three photographs each. These photos can be in unique categories or feature in a single category multiple times, depending on the wishes of the contestant.
All submitted photographs will be judged by a panel of adjudicators, with a shortlist of 6 photos from each category to be printed and displayed publicly in the final exhibition. An additional People’s Choice Award will be given to the shortlisted photograph that receives the most votes from the public. These photos will additionally be featured on the NZSSPC website.
